In 2024, I found myself deeply immersed in the world of coaching and listening, thanks to two incredible individuals who have become significant influences in my journey. I was fortunate enough to undergo my first formal coaching training with Claire Pedrick, and during that time, I was also listening to her podcast, The Coaching Inn, alongside Oscar Trimboli‘s Deep Listening podcast. I couldn’t help but wonder what it would be like to hear these two experts in conversation together. So, I took a chance and shared this idea with Claire, who immediately reached out to Oscar.
The outcome went beyond my expectations: Season 4, Episode 21 of The Coaching Inn, titled “How to Listen with Oscar Trimboli,” and Episode 127 of Deep Listening, “How to Listen to What Emerges In Between.” These episodes not only brought together two minds I admire but also sparked a fascinating exploration of the spaces between conversations.
What followed was even more unexpected. Claire and Oscar invited me to join their conversation in Episode 3, and then they asked me to host Episodes 4 and 5! It was an incredible honour to be part of these discussions, especially alongside such skilled listeners. I felt like a seedling among tall trees, but I have loved exploring “what emerges in between” during these conversations. (And every tall tree was a seedling at some point!)
